Catherine Duchess of Cambridge visits Grimsby, Yorkshire, Britain - 05 Mar 2013
Has the Duchess of Cambridge accidentally let slip that she is expecting a daughter? While out and about in Grimsby Catherine stopped to chat with one well-wisher who handed her a stuffed bear. In response Kate reportedly said: "Thank you, I will take that for my d...." before cutting herself off. A woman nearby who overheard the exchange then said to her: "You were going to say daughter, weren't you?'" The Duchess replied "No, we don (FOTO:DUKAS/REX)

Fox cubs adopt cuddly toy as surrogate mother, Epsom, Surrey, Britain - 03 Apr 2011

Fox Cubs Adopt Cuddly Toy As Surrogate Mother
A farmer who gave three orphaned fox cubs a children's toy was shocked when the youngsters welcomed the cuddly animal as their surrogate mother.
The father of two found the trio whimpering and shivering at the bottom of his garden in a hole under his shed.
With no sign of their parents, he brought the starving cubs into his family home and gave them a stuffed fox belonging to his three-year-old daughter.
The cubs immediately bonded with the furry toy and have been inseparable from their new 'mum', even refusing to go to sleep at night without it in their basket.
The farmer, from Epsom, in Surrey, insisted on giving staff at Wildlife Aid, in Leatherhead, the toy when he gave them the cubs to be released back into the wild.
Since they were found the youngsters have gained weight and even try to offer food to their 'mum', who has been named Flo after the red head singer Florence Welch.
Founder of the rescue centre Simon Cowell said: "We were quite surprised at first that a farmer would try and save the lives of three little foxes.
"What was really unusual was the cubs seemed to believe the stuffed animal was their mother and would not leave her side.
"When it came to dinner time they would leave some food and push the bowl towards Flo. It seemed like they couldn't understand why she wasn't eating.
"At first we couldn't figure out why they made so much noise when it was time for them to go to sleep, but it was because someone had accidentally taken the toy from their basket.
"After we realised we put it back and they nodded right off.
"When orphaned animals are brought in we normally give them a stuffed toy for a bit of security but we didn't in this case because they already had a bond with Flo.
"They are looking a lot healthier t...

Keeper Becomes 'Mum' To Adorable Baby Monkey
A zoo keeper and his fiancée have become parents sooner than they expected thanks to an adorable baby monkey.
Simon Jeffrey and his partner Emma are currently mum and dad to tiny African drill monkey 'Mubi' after she was abandoned.
When Mubi was rejected by her mother Yola at the Aspinall Foundation's Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent Simon, who is head of the primate section, stepped forward.
When she was a newborn Simon had to feed little Mubi every two hours around the clock.
Luckily, following the first week she started sleeping through the night so Simon was able to catch up on some much needed sleep.
During the day Mubi goes to work with Simon and she spends her time near to the enclosure containing the other drill monkeys.
At the end of the day she goes home with Simon to spend time with her 'siblings' - Jack Russell pups Ian and Daisy and a cuddly gorilla toy.
It is hoped that in time she will be able to be reintegrated back into the drill group at the park.
African drills are classed as endangered and their population has dropped by more than half over the past 30 years due to hunting and deforestation.

Purina has teamed with the North Shore Animal League to open the pop-up cafe where cat aficionados are not afraid to get a little fur on their clothing while they snuggle the adoptable cats, drink cappuccino and eat pastries. The kitties are free-range around the store and the customers can pet them, pick them up and play with them. Cat cafes are already big in Japan and this pop-up store is a first for New York. The event only goes until April 27 when you can take your adopted kittie home. (FOTO: DUKAS/PHOTOSHOT)
