    The price was 35 times the low estimate of $1,000 USD.
    Jobs wore the accessory for two different photo shoots surrounding the release of a new Macintosh Computer in January 1984.
    The late tech giant also wore it at the 1983 International Design Conference in Aspen, Colorado.
    He kicked off a speech by saying: ”They paid me sixty dollars, so I wore a tie.”
    He got it out the wardrobe again for the annual Macintosh shareholder's meeting on January 24th, 1984 during which he demonstrated some of the specialty functions of the new groundbreaking computer. 
    The bow tie was sold by US sale room Julien’s Auctions??The buyer also got a copy of a book called The Computer: An Illustrated History from its Origins to the Present Day which features Jobs on the cover wearing the tie.

    OPS: Also at the same sale, one of Facebook billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s black Alternative brand hoodie, custom-made with a 2010 Facebook mission statement logo went for $15,875 USD / €15.265 euros, also over fifteen times its original estimate of $1,000 USD.

    A green bow tie with pink stripes, worn by Apple computers founder Steve Jobs has sold for $35,750 USD / €34.375 euros.
    The price was 35 times the low estimate of $1,000 USD.
    Jobs wore the accessory for two different photo shoots surrounding the release of a new Macintosh Computer in January 1984.
    The late tech giant also wore it at the 1983 International Design Conference in Aspen, Colorado.
