Aerial The queues for fuel at the Morrisons petrol station in St Ives,Cambridgeshire,on Friday morning as the panic buying starts. The closure of some petrol stations has reignited a row over lorry driver shortages in the UK.A "handful" of BP stations, and a small number of Esso-owned Tesco Alliance stations, were closed on Thursday due to a lack of delivery drivers. It is estimated that the UK is short of about 100,000 HGV drivers - with gaps made worse by the pandemic and Brexit.Downing Street said there was "no shortage of fuel in the UK and people should continue to buy fuel as normal".

UK Supermarket Sells Cleaning Pods To Help Customers Reduce Use Of Single-Use Plastic Bottles
In a supermarket first, Morrisons is to sell a range of cleaning products in refill pods rather than single use plastic bottles.
The OceanSaver pods will enable customers to reuse existing spray bottles - by simply adding the pods and mixing with water.
The pods are available for different types of cleaning including floor, bathroom, glass, kitchen and multipurpose.
Each pod costs £1.50 and is available individually or as part of a ‘starter pack’ which includes a Bottle for Life with a pod inside at a cost of £2.50.
The Bottle for Life can be reused many times and is completely recyclable at the end of its life. Morrisons helped to bring the product to market by helping to source a recyclable bottle for OceanSaver.
With customers diluting OceanSaver refill pods at home, Morrisons will also transport 99% less water, meaning fewer trucks on the road and a resulting reduction in carbon emissions.
Madeleine Jackson, Cleaning Buyer at Morrisons said: "Plastic reduction is very important for our customers and we’re looking to remove it wherever we can. We believe we’re the first supermarket to sell a variety of cleaning pods for different jobs around the home. They will help our customers to reduce single use plastic in their cleaning cupboard.”
The OceanSaver Pods contain a highly concentrated cleaning solution in a dissolvable film. The pod is simply dropped into a spray bottle and mixed with water to create the solution.
They will initially be made available in seven Morrisons stores including; Guiseley, Boroughbridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh South Gyle, Weymouth Dorchester Road, Holyhead and Exeter.
Morrisons stock a wider range of environmental cleaning products including; Cif ecorefill pods; a wide range of Ecover household, cleaning and laundry products; plus new Method cleaning products.

A sign made from wonky fruit and veg
Morrisons to increase wonky fruit and veg offerings, UK - 03 Apr 2018
Morrisons is pledging to sell more wonky, over-sized, under-sized and blemished seasonal fruit and veg after listening to customers' continuing concerns about food waste. Wonky fruit and veg occurs for a number of reasons such as poor weather conditions. Products will have been selected from farmers' crops because they are misshapen, have skin blemishes or growth cracks, or are much smaller or larger than average.
