A mother has been found guilty of manslaughter after allowing her 4-year-old son to starve to death before keeping mummified body in her bedroom. Hamzah Khan's mummified remains were discovered at Amanda Hutton's squalid Bradford home almost two years after he died in December 2009. During her trial Hutton claimed that her son was a fussy eater and difficult child who starved himself. However, the prosecution alleged that Hutton was a "nasty drunk" who cared more for alcohol than her son, who suffered starvation, punishment and neglect. Tests on Hamzah's remains showed he had the bones of a 12 to 18-month-old baby and had no muscle and hardly any flesh when he died. His body was discovered lying in a travel cot wearing a soiled nappy and a sleepsuit for a six to nine-month-old baby.

Gunnery Sgt. John Adam Kinosh, 30, brutally attacked driver Charles Hawkesworth Jr. Kinosh in his taxi at around 1am Sunday morning.
Video from inside the cab shows Kinosh starting an argument before launching an attack with his fists.
Rex Bowen, owner of Island Taxi in Surf City, North Carolina, told WECT.com that his driver suffered multiple fractures to his face and received about 15 stitches.
According to reports, Hawksworth was responding to pick up calls from customers leaving The Trailer Bar in Surf City. A heavy volume of calls meant drivers were asking customers to share cab rides home and giving them discounts. It appears Kinosh took objection to this idea.

A U.S. Marine is shown viciously beating a cab driver in a shocking dashboard video taken at the weekend.
Gunnery Sgt. John Adam Kinosh, 30, brutally attacked driver Charles Hawkesworth Jr. Kinosh in his taxi at around 1am Sunday morning.
Video from inside the cab shows Kinosh starting an argument before launching an attack with his fists.
Rex Bowen, owner of Island Taxi in Surf City, North Carolina, told WECT.com that his driver suffered multiple fractures to his face and received about 15 stitches.

A man has pleaded guilty to endangering the safety of persons on the railway after being caught on CCTV throwing another man against the side of a moving freight train. During the attack in July last year drunken Daniel Worgan swung Robert Evans into one of the fast-moving train's cargo containers after Mr Evans defended some girls he had insulted. In CCTV footage Worgan can be seen plucking Evans from his group of friends and spinning him around before flinging him ten feet across the platform straight into the side of the train. Evans bounces off the side of the train and immediately hits the floor, only narrowly avoiding falling down the gap between platform and train. One of Evan's distressed friends rushes to his aid and helps him to his feet as callous Worgan calmly walks away. The CCTV footage helped to identify Worgan, who has now been given a six-month suspended sentence, ordered to pay GBP 500 compensation and carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.

Dinesh Gorania, 50 and his son Kishan, 21, were shutting up their shop when a masked man with a crow bar tried to enter and demanded money. But Mr Gorania, who had been cleaning the floor, hit the man with his mop, forcing him backwards. The man, who was swearing and threatening the pair, tried two more times to get into The Premier Store in Rushden, Northants, but Mr Gorania repeatedly hit him with the mop. Kishan then grabbed a hockey stick to help keep the man away. Two other masked men with crowbars then got out of a car and threw a metal bar at Mr Gorania, which he managed to block with his arm. The defeated men then got back in the car empty-handed, but smashed the shop window and the windows of Mr Gorania's van and Kishan's car as they left.

A man in a Hulk mask is wanted for robbing a bank.
The suspect walked into the Northwest Savings Bank in Hamburg, New York on Monday (9 Jan) disguised with the face of the famous green comic book character.
According to Hamburg Police Department, the man brandished a handgun and demanded money from the teller before making off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Authorities are now seeking a white male in his 20s, wearing a brown jacket with a fake fur collar, faded blue jeans and a long silver or gold necklace.
There have been no reports of him saying "you wouldn't like me when I'm angry".
