A cheque written by him on behalf of the fledgling tech company went for $176,850 USD / €163.510 euros including buyer’s premium.
That eclipsed a cheque signed by both Jobs and partner Steve Wozniak which went for $163,923 USD / €151.560 euros in March 2022.
However that new record was beaten during the same Steve Jobs and Apple Revolution event staged by US saleroom RR Auction.
An Apple business card signed by Job is 1983 was snapped up for $181,182 USD / €167.515 euros also including buyer’s premium.
The card, signed neatly in black ink by the late tech pioneer, features the iconic 'rainbow' version of the Apple 'byte' logo.

A first generation iPad signed by Apple founder Steve Jobs has sold for $40,000 USD / €37.486 euros at auction, four times the pre-sale estimate.
It was autographed in 2010 on the back in thick black felt tip by the tech pioneer and even has its original box, power supply, USB cable, and SIM tool and is said to be in fine condition.
Jobs was a notoriously difficult signer, especially at the lates stage of his career.
The iPad debuted in April 2010, and Jobs passed away from cancer about a year and a half later.
US saleroom RR Auction based in New Hampshire , said:” A tremendous rarity, to our knowledge this is the only Jobs-autographed iPad to appear at auction. “??The iPad was sold with a detailed letter of provenance from Hawaii dentist Frank H. Sayre, who treated Jobs for free during a trip there.
He subsequently received the iPad as a donation for a fundraising event.
Also included was an original letter from Jobs' administrative assistant, LaNita Burkhead, on Apple letterhead, dated August 24, 2010.
The iPad was sold by US auction house RR Auction.
At the same event, a first generation Apple iPhone, still in its sealed, unopened box, went for $87,500 USD / €81.995 euros — 175 times its original 2007 price new of $499 USD / €470 euros.
