EXCLUSIVE: July 7, 2024 - Sheba Hospital, Ramat Gan, Israel: Elay Hogeg Golan, MD, at Sheba Hospital during her internship. Elay received her diploma in May 29. Golan family - mother Elay Hogeg Golan (33), MD, father social worker Ariel Golan (34) and baby girl Yael Golan (1.5) were all injured in Kfar Aza Kibbutz on October 7th. Baby Yael suffered 30% burns, Ariel suffered 60% burns, Elay was for 51 days in ICU under anesthesia, with 60% burns. The family hid from the terrorists in the security room in their home. When the terrorists failed to open the room's door they lit the house on fire. The parents hugged little baby Yael to protect her from the fire.
