Andreas Gursky exhibition at the White Cube gallery
Andreas Gursky exhibition at the White Cube gallery, Masons Yard, London, Great Britain. Press photo call 10th October 2025
ANDREAS GURSKY Klausenpass II (Klausen Pass II)
2025
Inkjet print and Diasec
Edition of 6 and 2 APs
245.4 × 326.9 × 6.2 cm | 96 5/8 × 128 11/16 × 2 7/16 in. (framed)
The Andreas Gursky exhibition delves into his interest in music and ongoing investigation into contemporary culture.
After an extended collaboration with a prominent English musician, during which he was granted exclusive on-stage access at live concerts, Gursky created a new image that serves both as a powerful contemporary document of youth culture and a compelling visual statement on global stardom.
The exhibition also features new works from the artist’s ongoing ‘chrono capsules’ project, including a new image of the Aletsch Glacier in the Swiss Alps, originally captured in 1993. One other recent work, photographed within a German steel manufacturing plant, should be interpreted within the broader context of systemic transformations and associated crises.

Suzanne Song exhibition at the White Cube gallery
Suzanne Song exhibition at the White Cube gallery, Masons Yard, London, Great Britain. Press photo call, 1st September 2025. Runs to 3rd October 2025.
The first exhibition in Europe of Korean American artist Suzanne Song.
Since completing her MFA at Yale School of Art in 2000, Song has exhibited extensively across the United States and South Korea. Her work is housed in public collections including the Museum of Art at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, and the PARKSEOBO FOUNDATION, Seoul, a non-profit founded by the late White Cube artist and master of Korean art.
In her geometric paintings and works on paper, Song applies a subtle colour palette and precise, minimal lines to explore the conceptual idea of ‘space’, blurring the boundaries between illusion and reality. Her background in printmaking led her to develop a method of constructing images gradually through repetition, employing a trompe l’oeil technique. Selected motifs reappear in mirrored, reversed and inverted configurations, offering minute shifts in scale and colour.
The presentation spans new paintings and works on paper that reflect Song’s distinctive visual language. Featuring a muted colour palette and precise, minimal lines, her practice explores the conceptual idea of ‘space’ with geometric works that blur the boundaries between illusion and reality.

Group exhibition ‘Alien Shores’, which includes over 30 painting, video, sculpture and installation works.
A highlight of the group exhibition is a large-scale self-painting installation which reflects on colonialism and deforestation in Indonesia (reference image below). It comprises a painting machine powered by an electrical signal from a living palm oil tree, which first inscribes then erases a landscape.
