September 2, 2018 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - A demonstrator with the NPD neonazi party holds a sign with the words ''diverse, but silly'' to provoke the counter-demonstrators. He was later detained by police to receive criminal charges for insulting demonstrators and politicians. Attempting to capitalize off of the extreme-right unrest in Chemnitz, the NPD neonazi party in Munich organized a rally at Munich’s Marienplatz- one of the most traveled areas of the city that sees tens of thousands of tourists daily. At least 450 showed up to oppose the demonstration, including a who’s who of Munich and Bavarian politics.
