Photographer Valerio Berdini spent days walking the streets of Lisbon, trying to put into pictures the most peculiar of Portuguese feelings: 'Saudade'.
Saudade is a Portuguese word that has no direct translation in English.
It describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing may never return.

Raising a Family Behind Bars: Inmates Families Move Into Prison After Typhoon Haiyan
A New York-based photographer journeyed to the Philippines to meet families who were forced to relocate to prison after Typhoon Yolanda left them homeless.
Lawrence Sumulong went to the Leyte Provincial Jail in April this year, to document the unusual situation where a large number of displaced families have been forced to move in with their incarcerated relatives.
At the Leyte Provincial Jail, women and children walk freely among inmates.
While most inmates claim to be serving time for petty crimes such as theft or drug trafficking, their photo releases reveal many more are actually serving time for more serious crimes.
Lawrence shot the moving series in one day, and assembled the photos in a moving photo series titled Raising a Family Behind Bars.
Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) cut across nine regions in the central Philippines on November 8, 2013, leaving behind a wide swath of destruction.
The storm was a category five, with wind gusts up to 235 miles per hour, causing massive landslides and flooding.
Over 14 million people were affected, including five million who saw their homes damaged or destroyed, while over 6000 people lost their lives.
Lawrence wanted to investigate what had happened to the people who were left with nothing after the typhoon, and in particular those who had no choice but to take refuge in prison.
"My assignment was to verify whether families of the inmates were continuing to live inside the destroyed jail, which was a story that journalist, Aya Lowe had originally broken.
"Leading up to my trip, there was news that access to the jail was restricted and the families had long since relocated."
Lawrence, who currently works as a photo editor at Jazz in the Lincoln Centre, explains: ...

MEXICO CITY - 2008-2012: Main courtyard at Casa Xochiquetzal
on July 4, 2013. Casa Xochiquetzal is a shelter for elderly sex workers in Mexico City. It gives the women refuge, food, health services, a space to learn about their human rights and courses to help them rediscover their self-confidence and deal with traumatic aspects of their lives. Casa Xochiquetzal provides a space to age with dignity for a group of vulnerable women who are often invisible to society at large. It is the only such shelter existing in Latin America. That's Magic: Harry Potter Hogwarts Built from 400,000 Lego Pieces
A woman has built a scale model of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter films from 400,000 Lego pieces.
Alice Finch, 38, spent 12 months constructing the replica of the school from the films based on J.K. Rowling's books.
The Seattle teacher also has recreated scenes from the movie in various rooms throughout the model including meal time in the Great Hall and the transfiguration and potions classrooms.
Alice explains: "It is designed to be architecturally accurate and completely playable. It breaks into sections that pack into 40 large flat boxes or shelves."
She told brothers-brick.com: "There are about 10,000 bricks just in the big central staircase to give you a sense of scale. It is built in the shape of an L, where each side is about 13 feet (nearly 4 metres) long."
"It sounds odd to say 'Lego-related injuries' but it is possible," Ms Finch told News.com.au.
"At one point I over-stressed my knees by leaning over my work table for hours upon hours and I've worn off my fingerprints several times. When I was putting on thousands of cones on the roofs, I wore band aids on my fingers because they were so worn and sore."
The model won the People's Choice award and Best in Show at the Lego convention BrickCon 2012. Lego's official Hogwarts set only uses 1,290 bricks.

Halden Fengsel prison, Halden, Norway - May 2010
FULL WORDS: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/cfg7
According to The Telegraph, Norway killer Anders Behring Breivik could be held in the 'luxury' Halden Fengsel prison.
Built at a cost of $252million over ten years, Halden Fengsel is a world away from the bleak and overcrowded jails of other countries.
The rooms are spacious, modern and are equipped with flat-screen TVs and minifridges. There is a spotless gym, climbing wall and wooded jogging trails for the residents to get some exercise.
In fact, nestled in 75 acres of a picturesque forest in southeastern Norway, one could mistake this for a trendy hotel - but it is in fact the country's newest prison.
Opened in April 2010 to house 248 inmates, the nation's second largest prison has been constructed based on the principle that "correctional services shall provide that the offender should be able to make a personal effort to change his pattern of criminal action".
