The community of Molenbeek has a large, Moroccan community. Crime, poverty and fundmantalism are some of the less positive sides of this dynamic neigborhood.
Some lament the Islamic, mono cultural domination and argue Molenbeek, at least the downtown part of it, can hardly be called multi cultural..

Lady Gaga
The 13th Annual 2009 ACE Awards, New York, America - 02 Nov 2009
Lady Gaga arrives to receive the Stylemaker Award at the 13th Annual 2009 ACE Awards, where the Accessories Council honors fashion influencers.
Also honoured at the bash were Diane Von Furstenberg with an Accessory Visionary Award, Tomas Maier of Bottega Veneta as Designer of the Year and Burberry as Brand of the Year - other guests included Agyness Deyn, Molly Sims and Betsey Johnson.
Tragically, the event was tinged with shock and sadness when it emerged that, shortly after the melee surrounding Lady Gaga's arrival, AJ Sokalner - a photographer outside the venue - passed out, struck his head on the pavement and stopped breathing.
Emergency services arrived to administer CPR and the photographer was taken to Bellevue Hospital, but he was pronounced dead there a few minutes after arriving.
