Supermoon rises over London, Britain - 10 Aug 2014
The full moon is positioned closest to the earth on its orbit in over 20 years. It is 50,000 kilometres closer than normal and 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than usual. The scientific name for a 'supermoon" is a perigee moon, meaning "closest point to the earth".

His tiger feat is in motion.
Paul Goldstein's epic week-long charity run has roared into life. But his biggest challenge so far may have been the British weather.
The wildlife photographer and Exodus tour guide completed Sunday's Brighton marathon in just under six hours.
It is now a case of making his way to London on foot where he will run the marathon - all wearing a ten-foot tiger suit on his back for the 120 mile trip.
There will also be the small matter of presenting a lecture on endangered predators and wildlife photography at London's Royal Institution on Thursday.
"The only part of me that doesn't hurt is the tip of my nose," he says.
The runner and environmentalist is expected to pad into London later today (9 April.)

Russell Brand leaving his home enroute to Heathrow Airport, London, Britain - 31 Oct 2008
Following the uproar about his involvement in the latest BBC phone scandal it would seem that Russell Brand is making a strategic withdrawal. The comedian was seen leaving his London home today enroute to Heathrow Airport. His departure comes just days after he resigned from his Radio 2 presenting job in the wake of a furore over prank calls he and Jonathan Ross made. The troubles began after the two comedians made a series of lewd calls to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs. In the messages the presenters joked in colourful language that Brand had slept with the actor's granddaughter, 23-year-old Georgina Baillie. They even made fun of the prospect of Sachs committing suicide as a result. After the show was aired the BBC received a record number of complaints and faced mounting pressure to take action against Brand and Ross. After the pair were suspended, Brand announced his decision to quit, commenting that rather than making people "happy" his show had made them "unhappy and angry and sad".

FLAWS AND BLUNDERS (2) - 2008
When normally picture perfect stars step out looking anything but the world can breathe a sigh of relief that they are after all only human. From cellulite to sweaty armpits these normally groomed stars have all been caught looking far from their usual polished selves.
Amy Winehouse goes Back to Black - scabs that is, as her skin pays the price for her addictions.
Looking far from plastic fantastic: stubble, surgery scars and acne all make Michael Jackson's skin a real thriller.
We can understand that Goldie Hawn doesn't want to go Overboard on the makeup but she sure pays the price for it.
She may now be more of a lady of leisure than a Working Girl, but Melanie Griffith proves that time is still of the essence when it comes to a little retail therapy.
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was pinning her hopes on looking elegantly put together but a skirt malfunction rather bursts her fashion bubble.
Looking rather more fatty betty than sweaty betty, Vanessa Williams proves that armpit malfunctions come in all shapes and sizes.
Not even Mariah Carey's divalicious demands can keep her artfully placed sweater in place - for that she has to rely on sticky tape.
After seeing this picture we bet Teri wishes she had Hatcher(ed) a cunning plan to hide those tan lines.
Never one to display model perfect behaviour, Naomi Campbell gets into a huff (and a puff) again.
Forget having 27 Dresses, Katherine Heigl would swop them all just to get her hands on a tooth pick.
Kirsten Dunst's recent romantic heartbreak has left her as ragged as her nails.
We wonder if Madonna realised that she was going to make quite such a boob when she picked out this dress?
It may have been caused by...
