A nine seater submersible for taking tourists under the waves has been delivered to its first customer following extensive sea trials.

People on board get a cinema-like front-row seat to life under the sea.

They sit behind the pilot in an arc of comfy chairs instead of squashed up behind each other.
The Triton 660/9 AVA has gone to a cruise company to take passengers into the depths in style.

The craft, by Florida-based Triton Submarines has a specially toughened acrylic bubble stretched bubble shape window to give a panoramic view of undersea life down to a depth of 200 metres.

It is built to take eight passengers and a pilot.

The luxury leather-finished interior can be quickly kitted out as a cocktail bar, dining room, casino or even an intimate wedding venue.

The pilot sits in the centre with full visibility, rather than forward looking through a small window, allowing everyone to see the same thing.

The founder and CEO of company OceanGate which organised the missing Titanic submersible trip, showed a TV crew around the vessel in 2022.

It is feared Stockton Rush himself was onboard as pilot and is one of the five people missing after the high tech sub , named Titan, lost contact with the mother ship.

During the tour with the Canadian Broadcasting Company he showed off the tiny toilet, which is situated next to the only window.

And he also showed off the reinforced Sony Playstation controller which is used to manoeuvre the sub.

He also explained how having paying customers for the dives enabled the company to pay for expensive studies of the Titanic wreck.

The Titan is made of carbon fibre and titanium which can withstand the enormous pressures of going down to the wreck

OPS:The Titanic is slowly being eaten away by bacteria. The long "rusticles" hangng from the wreck are formed from a by-product of the bacteria's work

Superyacht design firm Lazzarini, who have previously designed a swan-shaped megayacht and a flying superyacht powered by blimps, have unveiled an epic 'gigayacht' that could be the next king of the oceans.
The Sovrano (Italian for ‘sovereign’) measures an incredible 555 feet - up there with the longest existing vessels and when built would be the widest yacht in the world. Its width comes from a platform on either side of the main deck that results in a 108 feet span.
The two platforms can be turned into helipads, swimming pools or extra lounges, depending on the whims of its eventual owner. Each is also fitted with four electric winches that allow a section to be lowered to the water’s edge to allow for a spectacular dining spot.
The five-deck yacht also has a covered atrium on the foredeck that opens to reveal a sunken space that houses a verdant garden and swimming pool that can be enjoyed by guests outdoors in summer, or under cover should bad weather hit. There are also two more pools on the vessel.
Also onboard is a giant garage which can store up to six supercars. These can be unloaded using a lifting platform and two cranes at the stern that can move the vehicles on and off the boat. Also onboard, meanwhile is a 14.5 metre ‘Geronimo’ pleasure craft for zipping around coastlines and a submersible allowing for underwater adventures.

The Sovrano can sleep up to 50 guests across 20 private suites and has space for up to 60 crew.
Lazzarini bosses says the steel-hulled brute could be equipped with electric motors or a hybrid propulsion system for an estimated top speed of 18 knots or 31 knots, respectively.
The studio estimates the build will take four years to complete and its interior and amenities can be fully customized upon client’s preferences.
