A DOG IS CALLED UP FOR WAR SERVICE
A number of dogs have been lent to the Government by their owners for training, to do a useful job in the anti sabotage services.
These dogs are to be used for guard duties and are given a months trial, during which they are trained to give warnings by signs, not by barking. This series of pictures shows the call up of Towsa, a dog belonging to Sheila West, from Barnet, who offered her dog to the Government for training.
Photo Shows: A team of Alsatians who gave "Towsa" a guard of honour when he arrived at the depot where he will be trained.
