People who long to journey to space could do it on a budget -- but only after they are dead.A British firm is offering people the chance to have their ashes scattered 20 miles above the surface of the Earth.Ascension Flights charges from £895 GBP / €1,000 Euros more than three times that to strap remains onto a modified weather balloon. It floats high above the clouds before the payload is released in space. The ashes then circle the planet before ultimately returning as raindrops or snowflakes, according to co-founder and director Dr Chris Rose.He says the space sendoffs are about giving families a unique way to say their final farewell. He described it as “"It's a fitting tribute to those of us who have lived in the space age."Dr Rose set up Ascension Flights with fellow space enthusiast Dr Alex Baker after they met at the UK’s Sheffield University.
