Among over 150 items offered for sale is a white terry cloth robe ($8,000 - 10,000) claimed to be the last item of clothing Monroe wore before her death.

Art for Starlight Helps Grant More Wishes For Sick Children
Starlight Children's Foundation hosted a glamorous party on Saturday night (26th September 2009) and raised enough money to grant an additional 100 wishes for some of the country's most seriously ill children.
The event at The Saatchi Gallery was the culmination of a year long art project devised specially for Starlight by Rose Astor and Maggie Bolger (co-owners of Kensington family members club Maggie & Rose)
Sarah Dawson Starlight's Head of Corporate fundraising said on the night: "Well known figures from the world of art and design* came together to run a series of workshops over the summer inspiring children to create a series of mini-masterpieces which we exhibited today at a wonderful exhibition at The Saatchi Gallery. Tonight with the help of our excellent committee we have hosted a fabulous party and with a stunning selection of auction lots have raised enough money to grant an additional 100 wishes"
We were even able to grant a wish on the night for a very brave young girl called Sophie Roberts (11) from Surrey. Sophie has a brain tumour which has affected her eyesight but she still loves to sing along to the radio. Her wish of a lifetime was to be a pop star and Starlight invited her to come along to the event and sing a pop song for all the guests who were all very moved to see her wish granted. There wasn't a dry eye amongst them!"
Starlight understands that being seriously ill when you are a child is very frightening. It grants wishes of a lifetime for children to help distract them from pain and fear that they feel whilst they are ill. It gives them something to look forward to ...

She Is Best Known For Her 1960 Hit 'i'm Sorry' And 1958's 'rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' A Us Holiday Standard For More Than 50 Years. At 4 Ft 9 Inches Tall She Received The Nickname Little Miss Dynamite In 1957 After Recording The Song 'dynamite'; And Was One Of The Earliest Pop Stars To Have A Major Contemporary International Following. Lee's Popularity Faded In The Late 1960s As Her Voice Matured But She Continued A Successful Recording Career By Returning To Her Roots As A Country Singer With A String Of Hits Through The 1970s And 1980s.
