OLYMPIA 2016 - Impressionen aus Rio de Janeiro
1st August 2016, Rio Brazil. Beach volleyball still under construction at the Copacabana beach. Construction work was continuing today at the Copacabana beach volleyball stadium, at the Lagoa Stadium, which is hosting the rowing and canoeing competitions, and at the Future Arena, where the handball will take place. Teams were practising on volleyball courts surrounded by dozens of workers. Scaffolders could be seen working on the main structure of the beach-front site while poles lay along spectator corridors and work was continuing on the media commentary boxes. Workers were also finishing pavements outside the venue where the first matches are to be held on Saturday. Lagoa Stadium remained partially shrouded in scaffolding, with officials blaming the delays on problems with suppliers.

A huge Serb Orthodox church in Pristina, Kosovo, unfinished and derelict. During the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s Serbia aggressively tried to reclaim Kosovo, enticing ethnic Serbs to return to the land of their ancestors, building Serb Orthodox churches. This was a newly built large orthodox church in the very centre of Pristina. Once Serbia lost the fight for Kosovo, and Serbs mostly left, Kosovars left the unfinished church to rot. Destroying it would send an unwanted message to the world and finishing it would be pointless since there are practically no Serbs left in Kosovo outside several isolated enclaves, says Oleg

Benedict Cumberbatch appears with his life-like clay head as
Madame Tussauds London create the mould for his hotly anticipated wax figure launching at the world famous Baker street attraction later this year.

The Sherlock star has been closely involved in the creation process with Madame Tussauds artists, giving them two sittings at which hundreds of measurements and pictures were taken to ensure total accuracy. The figure will be 'premiere ready', showing the actor looking impeccably groomed in a stylish dark suit, with a warm and relaxed expression and his famous tousled hairstyle.

Earlier this year, Benedict commented: "Finally I can photobomb myself! What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of talent already committed to wax. I've been accused of being wooden in my work but never waxy!"

Madame Tussauds Gives Prince Harry an Icy Make-Over as He Prepares for South Pole Charity Trek
Madame Tussauds has paid tribute to Prince Harry's participation in a charity trek to the South Pole by giving his wax figure an icy make-over.

Visitors will get a preview of what the 'action man' Prince will look like kitted out to combat the sub-zero temperatures he and fellow expedition members will encounter on the 208 mile Walking with the Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge, which kicks off on Sunday.

The wardrobe team at the London attraction will dress Prince Harry, who is the expedition's patron, in exactly the same gear the team will wear on their trek donated by Helly Hansen.

Madame Tussauds artists will use special colouring effects to 'ice' his eyelashes and hairline - mirroring how he will look in the face of -50C temperatures, snowstorms and glaciers over the four week challenge.

Guests will be invited to make donations to help kick start the fund raising campaign, which aims to generate GBP 2 million for the re-training of wounded ex-servicemen and women
