A designer has created a unique jewellery range that places a 'miniature world' inside a clear-ring.

German-designer Isabell Kiefhabe spends several hours carefully creating miniature designs, which are encased in a see-through ring.

Isabell said: "I really like to place ordinary objects, that generally nobody pays attention to, into jewels. In addition, I add materials like gold-leaf, silver or pearls to make the pieces eye-catching."

In the pictures, tiny objects, such as an origami bird, a swimming scene and a mermaid can be seen encased inside a clear-ring.

The intricate work can take up to several hours to make one design.

    A Model Royal Wedding
The smallest tribute yet has been paid to Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding - miniature Lego figures depicting the happy couple.

The bride and groom, the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and even corgis, the monarch's favourite breed of dogs, are all recreated in tiny detail at the new Legoland attraction.

The scene also includes crowds, guests and members of the royal family on Buckingham Palace's famous balcony.

It took model makers at Legoland Windsor more than 30 hours to create using around 10,000 bricks.

Each of the 10cm-high figures that feature in the scene took an hour to put together out of 30-40 bricks.

The happy couple are depicted at the palace gates embracing in front of guardsmen - complete with their bearskins and scarlet tunics - crowds of schoolchildren and well-wishers.

Meanwhile, the Queen and the rest of the royal family look down from the balcony above.

Buckingham Palace itself utilises 160,000 bricks and was built on a 1:50 scale over 550 hours.

It sits in the Miniland London area of Legoland, which features some of the capital's best known landmarks.

Sue Kemp, Divisional Director of LEGOLAND Windsor commented: "What better way to celebrate it than to pay homage to such an amazing royal occasion.

"After all, we're based in Windsor which is well known for its royal connections!"

A French photographer has become an internet sensation with his amusing snaps of tiny plastic people carrying out everyday tasks. Vincent Bousserez has shot a series of pictures showing the miniature figures window cleaning a pair of spectacles, shaving a man's face with a lawnmower and even scaling a woman's breast. The 36-year-old, from Paris, started the 'Plastic Life' series four years ago after visiting a miniature model shop with a friend. Vincent, a creative director of a marketing agency, has now got 80 photos in his collection. He carries a selection of mini characters around with him where ever he goes so he can take a photo when inspiration strikes.

A collection of pampered pet cats can now arrive in style — at their own mini metro station.
A YouTuber built a replica train with sliding doors that automatically open as it pulls into the subway stop.
As well as carrying pets as passengers there is also a pussy in the driver’s cab.
It was built over four months by China based Xing Zhilei under the title Xing’s World who has named the stop Cat Town Station.
The tiny infrastructure also has a moving escalator, lineage and platform lights.
The metro joins a portfolio of miniature environments that Xing has created, including a pool f, a private island, a parking lot, supermarket and movie theatre.
Xing and an assistant used woodworking skills and 3D printed parts.
The final station includes realistic details that echo urban transit environments, from the train’s arrival sequence to the boarding process.
Platform screen doors line the edge, complete with signage and warning strips, while overhead maps and directional boards recreate the look of a real concourse.
Even rubbish bins are carefully crafted to scale.
Training the cats, led by his Maine Coon Mr Nice, to use the miniature system became part of the process.
