GERMANS ATTEMPT TO ESTABLISH RADIO BASES IN GREENLAND
Four US Coastguard cuters operating in ice jammed Arctic waters have foiled three attempts by the Nazis to establish radio weather outposts in Greenland, it is announced by the US Navy Department in Washington.
One German trawler was sunk another captured and a third found abandoned. A radio station was destroyed and 60 prisoners taken in a series of actions which took place from July last to October.
