Cause and Effect suspended tennis ball art installation
Cause and Effect: Suspended Tennis Ball Art
This work of art is just balls. Tennis balls in fact.
An artist has created an amazing motion effect by suspending hundreds of tennis balls from the ceiling.
The work sees the sports equipment seemingly bounding across boardrooms, along corridors and around a gallery space.
Spanish visual artist Ana Solers used 2,000 balls in the work called "Cause and Effect" which was displayed at Mustang gallery in Alicante, Spain.
The balls are suspended individually by hand, using a needle and very fine nylon thread almost invisible to the naked eye.
She explains: "The work intends to reflect how every single decision we make in our lives depicts and provokes a three-dimensional map of roads and tracks.
"It complies with stopping time, and thinking that every move we make carries on with a consequence. Depending on where and how to hit you get one outcome or another, and so on our life takes a certain path or else.
"In the end, life, when seen in its complexity, is like an elaborate map of tangled paths, which challenge the human being itself and its context."
