Hundreds of people attend the Essex Hunt at Matching Green Essex sets off from the Chequers public house for the traditional Boxing Day meet. Founded in 1785, the Essex Hunt has met regularly in Matching Green since the early 19th century, although since 2005 it has not been allowed to use dogs to chase and kill foxes.
