Fern the Cockapoo who loves to climb trees. It?s not unusual for a dog to chase a stick. But this barking mad Cockapoo appears to have taken the game to a new level - by climbing trees in pursuit of her ?prey?. One year old Fern was snapped scrambling up a Pine tree in Achilty Forest near Inverness in the Highlands.
Fern the tree climbing Cockapoo, Inverness, Scotland, UK - 12 Oct 2017
Owner Margaret Robb said ?I threw a stick for Fern and it went past the tree, but she seemed to think it landed on it, because the next thing I knew she had taken a run up and leapt onto the tree trunk. She then tucked her hind legs underneath her body to give herself some grip and started to climb. I?ve had dogs for 30 years and I?ve never seen anything like it. Fern is always leaping around anyway and my friends call her the Ninja dog, but now that she has figured out that she can climb trees she?s always doing it.? Margaret posted a snap on Facebook and it has had over 90,000 views. She added? The photo has received lots of interest with people joking that she was more like a bear cub than a dog and some have said that she should be re classified as a Koalapoo.?

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visit the New Zealand Giant Rugby Ball, London, Britain - 25 November 2008
The Queen, wearing a feather shaped brooch akin to the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team logo, has met the All Blacks rugby team while visiting a giant inflatable rugby ball being used to promote New Zealand tourism. She and the Duke of Edinburgh were treated to a traditional Maori welcome as they arrived at the 25-metre ball, which has been installed in Potters Field near London Bridge. The ball is designed to give visitors a taste of what they can expect when they travel to New Zealand and aims to showcase the country's creative talent, landscape and technology. It also promotes the 2011 Rugby World Cup, which will be held in New Zealand. During their visit the royal couple were taken on a "virtual visit" of New Zealand by viewing a 10-minute audio-visual show that is projected onto the walls inside the ball.
