FEATURE - Schicksalsschlag - Nach dem drohenden Krebstod ihres Manns wird Sue Key die gemeinsame Postfiliale nicht weiterbetreiben dürfen
Sue Key, 61 from Kenilworth is in a state of uncertainty after her husband Carl, 62, was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite running Windy Arbour News together for 27 years, the Post Office have told Sue she must apply for the job position to take it over when Carl dies instead of just continuing to run it. See NTI story NTIPOST. The wife of a terminally-ill post office manager who has run the business alongside him for 27 YEARS has been told she cannot automatically take over once he dies. Couple Sue and Carl Key have jointly run Windy Arbour News in Moseley Road, Kenilworth, for the last 27 years. But around three months ago, Carl was diagnosed with cancer of the bowel, liver and lung – and the Keys found out this was terminal four weeks ago. They informed the Post Office of the situation as soon as they found out. Sue also told them of her intention to fully take over the running of the post office after Carl dies. But the Post Office have told her this is not allowed, and that she must re-apply via their website if she wants to run it. / action press *** Local Caption *** 27336156

British artist Mister Finch at the launch of his new exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. More than 75 individual soft sculptures showcase Finch?s masterful combination of up-cycled and new materials, from discarded wire, steel and wood, to vintage tapestries, cross stitch samplers, tablecloths, antique silverware and rescued cloth. The self-taught artist has drawn inspiration from British folklore, the historic Bretton Estate and Yorkshire wildlife to create his textile wonders. Finch?s Gothic fairytale centres around the story of The Wish Post, a magical kingdom of woodland animals whose job it is to collect and sort other creatures? wishes, which are breathed into envelopes and posted in toadstool postboxes.
