A star of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movie trilogy has helped Lego launch a new set — that replicates the Hobbit world of Middle Earth..
Hollywood actor Sean Astin, 54, who portrayed Samwise Gamgee appears in a mini-film celebrating the launch of the 2,017-piece diorama.
It features a recreation of the Hobbit village, Hobbiton in the Shire.
The detailed Shire set recreates the festivities around the “eleventy-first “ birthday celebration of Bilbo Baggins who hands over care of the One Ring to Rule them All to younger cousin Frodo.
The set features Bilbo's hobbit-hole, complete with its iconic round green door and richly appointed interior.
There are nine included minifigures including Bilbo, Frodo, Samwise and wizard Gandalf the Grey.
Interactive elements include being able to transform a burning letter into The One Ring and make Bilbo vanish with a turn of a dial or recreating the dragon firework scene with interchangeable heads for Frodo’s Hobbit friends Merry and Pippin.

LEGO have unveiled their new 2,017 piece depiction of The Shire from Lord of the Rings.
Sean Astin, who portrayed Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, is pictured here celebrating the launch.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the breathtakingly detailed Shire set recreates the festive atmosphere of Bilbo Baggins’ eleventy-first birthday celebration. From Bilbo's hobbit-hole, complete with its iconic round green door and richly appointed interior, to the nine included minifigures—Bilbo Baggins, Frodo, Mrs. Proudfoot, Farmer Proudfoot, Merry, Pippin, Rosie Cotton, Samwise Gamgee, and Gandalf the Grey—the set brings this iconic scene to life.
Interactive elements include being able to transform a burning letter into The One Ring and make Bilbo vanish with a turn of a dial or recreating the dragon firework scene with interchangeable heads for Merry and Pippin. The set also includes Gandalf’s horse and cart, fireworks, a firework dragon figure, the Party Tree, a party pavilion, and Bilbo’s book, which can be displayed open or closed.

Lego propose de reconstituer le squelette d'un T Rex
Picture MUST credit: Lego Jurassic Park movie fans can now get their hands on a monster Lego kit — to build their own T.Rex fossil skeleton. The company admits it offers a challenging but rewarding building experience . The 3,145 piece skeleton is 105 cm long and 33cm high. It boasts articulated joints, including a movable head, opening jaw, and posable arms and tail, allowing for dynamic and customisable displays. The set also includes a display stand, an information plaque, and hidden Easter eggs from the Jurassic Park franchise such as a piece of amber. It comes as the sixth Jurassic movie, Jurassic World: Rebirth with Scarlett Johansson due to hit cinemas in the Summer. Fans of the original iconic 1993 film Jurassic Park get two film characters in minifigure form, Dr. Ellie Sattler who was played by Laura Dern, and Dr. Alan Grant played by Sam Neill. A Lego spokesperson said: “These characters bring a touch of cinematic history to the set, making it a perfect gift for fans of the franchise.” The coffee-table-style build instructions also include design details, movie highlights, and T. rex dinosaur facts. Builders can further enhance their experience with the Lego Builder app, for an interactive way to zoom in, rotate models in 3D, and track progress. Une version Lego du tableau emblématique des Tournesols de Vincent van Gogh a été créée
Pictures must credit: Lego A Lego version of Vincent van Gogh’s iconic Sunflowers painting has been created. And one of the toy brick-built masterpieces will go on show at the museum in Amsterdam dedicated to the Dutch impressionist. The 2,615-piece set is described as recreating the brushstrokes of Van Gogh’s masterpiece. A Lego spokesperson said the set enables fans to immerse themselves in Van Gogh’s art and to learn more about the inspiration behind one of his most beloved paintings, done in 1889. The set has been carefully designed to create a 3-D brick version focusing on the three radiant shades of yellow and Van Gogh’s famous use of light and shade. The set features the 16 sunflowers of the painting with adjustable petals, a removable frame, a tile with Van Gogh’s signature and a hanger element to display While building Lego suggests listening to a podcast created together with the Van Gogh Museum, featuring its senior curator Nienke Bakker and the Lego set designer Stijn Oom available from March 1 when the set hits stores.
