(1/22/2017) St Mary of Zion church, Aksum, Ethiopia. Several separated boys and girls are doing catechesis inside the church of St Mary of Zion in Axum. The Ark of the Covenant is a relic fervently venerated by the Ethiopians for which the churches keep in their most sacred enclosure a replica of the Ark of the Covenant which contains the Tabot. The Tabot that is kept in the Ethiopian churches is a replica (in wood or stone) of the Tables of the Law whose original would be conserved in Santa Maria de Sion, in Axum. The revelation of the millennium. The Ark of the Covenant, according to the Bible, is the box that kept the Tables of the Law of Moses with the Ten Commandments, and constitutes, without a doubt, the most coveted sacred object of all who have been sought by man in different Places of the earth, from Africa to the Middle East. It belongs to the Coptic Patriarchate of Ethiopia one of the patriarchates of the Coptic Church. According to tradition, the Ark of the Covenant, which was supposedly deposited there by Menelik I, son of Solomon, is safeguarded in this Basilica, although it can not be fully assured since there is a whole discussion about its exact location, but the theory that Is in the Church of Santa Maria de Sion is the most solid. Ethiopian churches have several entrances: the southern entrance for women and the north for men; The east can be used interchangeably. Built according to a scheme inspired by the Temple of Solomon, they have three parts: a choir, a sacred space where the Eucharist is distributed and a closed sanctuary accessible only to priests. The dances and the vestments of the guests dazzle any visitor, especially the foreigners. The holiest shrine in Ethiopia is the Church of St. Mary of Zion in the city of Axum, there the Ethiopians say that the true Ark of the Covenant of the people of Israel is found and mentioned in the Old Testament. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church maintains that they are the depositaries of the Ark in Santa Maria de Sion, but there are several other alternative hypotheses on the mysterious whereabouts of the Ark. (1/17/2017) Hawzen town, Eastern Tigray, Ethiopia. Ethiopian mothers carry their children all day in this kind of baby carrier. Sometimes the simplest things turn out to be the most sophisticated. So I think after seeing how the Mursi women take their babies. These Africans, like many other women in the world, carry their children constantly in their arms, tied to their body with a cloth as a baby carrier. In this way babies are part of the daily life of their mothers, in each and every one of the daily activities. The library was funded by the American charity Friends of Mek?ele Blind School, who also bought and delivered a large number of braille textbooks. These range from topics including American Heritage, African Geography and English Language. Some textbooks are primarily braille, while others include written text alongside braille, allowing the sighted teachers to work collaboratively with the blind students. It is the only braille library in the whole of Tigray, and so the children are very fortunate to be able to use it
