More than 300 people gathered outside the 24-hour shop in Dalston, east London, where Rashan Charles, 20, died after apparently swallowing a package and being restrained by an officer. Although advertised on social media as a peaceful demonstration, masked activists among the crowd chanted "murderers" at police while others started fires and hurled bottles and bangers. It brought the busy shopping street to a standstill for several hours with road diversions in place throughout the evening.

London Cabbie Shelters, London, Britain - 2006
The first in St Johns wood shelter built in 1875 known as the The Nursery End. The cabman shelters were built to provide cabbies shelter from the cold and also cheap hot food and drinks. By 1908 there were 47 shelters but now only 13 left which have been restored. Still today the prices are reasonable, a tea or coffee from 50p to a full roast dinner with all the trimmings for a fiver with all you can drink included. Other shelters with nicknames are the Bell and Horns in Old Brompton Road named aptly after the ding of the buses bells and the cacophony of car Horns. Also the 'All Nations' on Kensington Gore positioned near many Foreign Embassies. The Grade 11 listed buildings are all distinct in style with green wood panelled exterior, frosted windows and a stable door entrance at either the rear or side of each.
