The latest cycle of violence that started in Kashmir on June the 11th. when widespread protests erupted around Kashmir when a youth was killed after being hit by a teargas canister during a freedom movement protest has so far killed 49 people and injured hundreds, mainly civilians. The state has been under curfew ever since, only occasionally being lifted for a few hours at the time.
