Israel-Hamas War 2025: Israeli Army In The West Bank
May 29, 2025, Israel: During the Swords of Iron War the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) Directorate of Defense Research & Development (DDR&D), the Israeli Air Force (IAF), and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems executed an accelerated development program to deploy revolutionary interception systems. As a result of this initiative, soldiers from the IAF Aerial Defense Array operated high power laser system prototypes in the field, successfully intercepting scores of enemy threats. Throughout the current war, the IAF, including its Aerial Defense Array soldiers, studied and deployed the laser systems in the field, achieving outstanding interception rates that saved civilian lives and protected national assets. Al-Quds Day Observed In Kashmir
A Kashmiri Shiite Muslim man carries a portrait of Hassan Nasrallah, the slain former leader of Hezbollah, as they mark Al-Quds Day, or Jerusalem Day, in support of Palestinians, in central Kashmir's Magam area about 25km from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on March 29, 2025. The name Al-Quds Day comes from the Arabic name for Jerusalem. The last Friday of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan has been marked as Al-Quds Day since the start of the 1979 Islamic Revolution led by the Iranian spiritual leader, the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Northern Israeli town holds breath as Lebanon ceasefire to end. Metula fear the fighting will resume.
With both Israel and Hezbollah having violated the agreement, people in Metula fear the fighting will resume.
A 60-day truce that went into effect at the end of November between the Iran-allied militia and Israel halted a two-month-old Israeli ground invasion.
David Azoulay, Mayor of Metula, receives a delegation of government officials during the 60 days ceasefire between Israel and Hizbollah that is due to expire next Monday. Metula has been closed since October 2023 and evacuated as it sits near the border with Lebanon and was the Israeli town mostly afected by Hizbollah fire.
