Renee Salt, a Holocaust survivor, photographed at her home in London. Renee was born Rywka Ruchla Berkowitz in Zdun?ska Wola, Poland, in 1929. Renee Salt survived the Holocaust working as a slave labourer, and surviving time spent in Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen Concentration camps. After the war Renee Salt went back to Poland to find surviving family members. She found an aunt and they eventually moved to Paris where she met her husband Charles, who was in the British Army.
