The Duchess visited the Pre-Prep school for Under-5s. The Duchess opened a new Astroturf playing field by unveiling a plaque. The Duchess, who played hockey at St Andrew's, used this opportunity to meet members of the school's current hockey team. The Duchess then toured the school privately and watched the School's 'Progressive Games', which are traditional games played indoors by the School's teachers and students on St Andrew's Day

    Kate Middleton's Family Secrets
When Catherine Elizabeth Middleton says 'I do' next year she will become the first 'commoner' to marry an heir to the throne in more than 300 years.

However, it has been revealed that a family rift means the 'rough' side will not be receiving any wedding invites.

Several relatives of Miss Middleton's mother, Carole, will reportedly be left out in the cold due to a long-standing dispute.

Carole has had little contact with her father Ron Goldsmith's side of the family since marrying her husband, Michael, in 1980.

The rift apparently dates back to a falling out between Ron and his oldest sister Alice Tomlinson.

Ron and Alice were two of six children raised by their widowed mother Edith in Southall, west London.

Edith worked at a jam factory while the young children were cared for by their older siblings.

When Ron first married Carole's mother Dorothy Harrison the couple lived with Edith in her council flat, where Carole was born in 1955.

Keen to improve their lot in life, in 1966 Ron and Dorothy moved to the nicer end of Southall when Carole was 11, before eventually ending up in Pangbourne, Berkshire.

Carole went on to become an air stewardess where she met her pilot husband-to-be Michael, the middle class son of a flying instructor.

The pair married in Buckinghamshire in 1980 and princess in waiting Kate arrived two years later.
