A new device promises to help anyone who has trouble sleeping to drop off— by gently rocking them like a baby.
The Ensven 3 Modular Bed Rocker is made to fit most beds.
The accessory consists four slider modules , each one placed under the legs of the user's existing bed.
Motors in two of those modules gently pushed the bed from side to side, with the other two unpowered modules simply sliding along with them.
The motors are said to be powerful enough to a rock a total bed weight of at least 544 kg.
The rocker offers multiple movement modes.
These consist of a standard rock mode, an interval mode where the device it alternates between rocking and still cycles, a random mode where the rocking speed changes from time to time and finally a shake mode where the rocking is relatively fast at three seconds per oscillation.
US company Ensven based in Arizona, said the shake mode was requested by parents of children with conditions such as autism, who often need some sort of vigorous body motion in order to fall asleep.

Bird lovers can now get up close and personal with tiny hummingbirds — thanks to a kit that brings them eye to eye with humans.
The HummViewer turns a watcher into a feeder .
It’s a unique mask that features fake flowers to attract the birds which can then feed from discrete containers filled with sugar water.
The design features a clear plastic shield reminiscent of personal protection equipment during COVID.
Attached are three bright red Calla Lily flowers with feeder tubes inside each with a nectar reservoir.
This creates a natural feeding environment for hummingbirds, allowing them to flit in and feed.
The nectar is made from one part sugar and four parts boiled water and can be refrigerated for up to two weeks.

A beer and cider machine is promising to take the complexities out of the home-brew process.
US-based company iGulu says its S1 automated machine works with system-specific premixed ingredient kits.
The base ingredients in all the kits are malt extract, hops extract, and yeast.
Users empty the powdered contents into the S1's tank – along with 3.8 litres of filtered water.
The tank is placed inside the S1 and an RFID tag from the kit's packet is held up to a reader on the machine.
The tag relays all the data the S1 needs to know regarding information such as fermentation pressure, temperature, and time.
A button press then initiates the brewing process. iGulu says it takes between one and two two weeks for the beer to be ready, depending on factors such as beer type.
Once the gallon of beer is ready, it's chilled to the ideal serving temperature, which ranges from 3 ºC to 12 ºC.
The user then dispenses it into glasses or optional reusable pressurised bottles using an integrated air pump.
The use of an optional adapter and a third-party CO2 cylinder, however, allows the beer to stay fresh for up to 30 days.
OPS: One of the several brewing kits available with more expected to be added.
