Award winning landscape and wildlife photographer Drew Buckley recently spent three nights on the enigmatic island of Skomer off the Pembrokeshire coastline. The main draw to this small corner of Welsh paradise in summertime are the charismatic Puffins. Drew comments: "These quirky small dumpy sea birds are full of character and it's hard not to be drawn in to their own little world. "The iconic views of them standing with lots of sand eels held in their beaks are abundant at this time of year as they're busy feeding young. "Also, they're not afraid of humans as there's no ground predators on the island so happily walk past your feet allowing some fabulous up close and personal views".

A unique rucksack designed to protect wearers in war zones from shrapnel and bomb-debris even doubles up as a bullet-proof vest.
Although there probably isn't much of a market for 'The Rhino Skin' backpack in Britain, its creator, Hila Raam, from Israel who says, 'a world where terror attacks are part of our daily routine' believes protection from an onslaught of bullets is crucial and has come up with a great way to do so.
The backpack, which features a pull-out hood made from Kevlar, is constructed to protect all the body's essential organs like the head, neck, back and the sides of the body, keeping the wearer's brain, heart, liver and kidneys away from harm.
The Rhino Skin bag can even be combined with a bullet-proof vest.
Israel has a sophisticated early warning and anti-rocket defence system but it still sometimes only offers civilians a 15 second alert in the form of air raid siren leaving many people unable to get to a building for cover.
In the event of an emergency Rhino Skin backpack wearers simply pull the side traps from the back side of the bag around their body, the protective hood will cover their head and Raam advises to lie flat on the ground for protection.
Your legs will have to take their chances.
