OH WHAT A SURPRISE… A baboon pulls a perfect "O" expression towards the camera. The Chacma baboon's expressions were observed in the Chobe National Park, Botswana.

Wildlife photographer Nick Dale, 56, from South West London, said, “On an early morning safari drive, I noticed a group of Chacma Baboons, including a couple of younger ones, only yards away from the truck. It was a patience game waiting for the young one to turn towards me so once it did, it was just a burst of shots to get what I wanted. It was a sweet moment having it yawn towards me after having chewed a stick.”

“I love the expression the baboon pulls, like it is surprised or shocked that it is being photographed and having its moment in the limelight. Chacma Baboons are always such a delight to photograph as they’re so inquisitive and expressive.”

    2. Where were they taken? Chobe National Park, Botswana

    3. How did you get the shots and were there any difficulties? If so, what were they? I was in a safari truck on a game drive early in the morning, and I noticed this young chacma baboon only a few yards away. The biggest difficulty was waiting for it to turn in my direction! I took a burst of shots, so I got the yawn pretty much from start to finish—even though it was turning its head at the time!

    4. Do you know why the baboon pulled the face like that? It was yawning.

    5. What was the baboon doing in the moments before/after the shots? It was chewing on a stick.

    6. What is your favourite thing about the moment? I love the expression on the baboon's face. The first time I saw it, it made me smile.

    7. Is there anything further you think we should know to help us caption the shots? When animals yawn, it's easy to think they're doing something else: roaring, snarling or expressing surpri

London weather: Milder temperatures to return next week after cold snap
Temperatures in the capital plummeted to -3C on Thursday, a stark contrast to the warmest New YearÕs Day on record last week where temperatures reached 16.3C in St JamesÕs Park. But the Met Office is predicting a return to milder temperatures over the weekend and into next week. Commuters in the cold today on London Bridge.

A photo of a rescue dog panting in the long grass has won first prize in a competition to capture pictures of Britain's pets. The picture, taken by Yvette Roberts Shaw, was chosen from among more than 600 photos of cats and dogs in the annual contest run by PetSavers, a charity which is part of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. This year's contest encouraged amateur photographers to take pictures of their pets at one of those special moments when they melt their heart. The competition was judged by staff at the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. Yvette, from Caerphilly, Wales, said: "Cassie is our rescue and is a Staffie x Boxer. She was in shelters for the majority of her younger years and was moved from Coventry to Bristol as she kept getting overlooked.

    White rhino yawning
White rhinos in the Greater Kruger National Park, Africa - 02 Mar 2018
    *Full story: https://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/u7ll
It can be a hard life being a rhino if this animal's huge yawn is anything to go by! British photographer Will Nicholls photographed this exhausted looking group of rhinos as they took a rest in the Greater Kruger National Park. In one snap he caught one rhino yawning - with the normally majestic looking animal appearing decidedly humorous as it's frozen mid gurn. Another shot shows a different rhino with extremely heavy lidded eyes as it apparently struggles to wake up - a sentiment many of us can relate to in the morning. Will comments: "The two rhinos were completely relaxed, huffing and sighing as they started to wake up. Eventually, after shooting some pretty 'bored' looking rhinos, the adult stood up and gave a huge yawn. I think that the mouth resembles a whale shark in the photo!"

*EXCLUSIVE* Britney Spears leaves son's soccer game with unsual condition with her mouth!
*EXCLUSIVE* **SHOT ON 4/26/15** Canoga Park, CA - Britney Spears seen enjoying her son Jayden's soccer game today and with about 10 minutes remaining, she abruptly got up and left to head to her car looking concerned. As she approached her car, Britney's stature appeared to tense up with her mouth gaped open for approximately 25 seconds. It first appeared as she was yawning, but she could not lift her hands or arms to cover her mouth and turned to her bodyguard for help. Britney's bodyguard immediately shielded her from onlookers as she regained her composure and returned to the field to watch the end of the game and greet ex-husband Kevin Federline and his dad.
