These hungry bears demonstrate the bear necessities of fishing as they attempt to catch something tasty for dinner. Professional wildlife photographer Danny Green got to watch a host of hungry grizzly bears at work during a recent trip to Alaska. His stunning shots show the bears going about their business as they gorge themselves on salmon - from finding the perfect fishing spot and actually catching a prize, to seeing off rivals trying to poach on their territory. The patient predators are seen crouched in the icy cold waters, having staked out their particular patch, as they wait for dinner to come to them. The triumphant fishers are then seen with their fat wriggling prize clutched in their jaws.

European Brown Bears, Finland - Jul 2016
    *Full story: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/skxn
These stunning photos of brown bears in the forests of Finland are the result of one photographer's endless hours of patience. During his two week trip wildlife photographer Will Nicholls spent 15 hours a day in a tiny wooden hide as he attempted to catch a glimpse of these elusive creatures. Despite their formidable size, the ancient Taiga forests that the bears call home extend for hundreds of miles meaning it can be extremely hard to spot them. Added to this there are estimated to be just 1,700 European brown bears left in Finland. Will comments: "I spent 15 hours each day, every day for 2 weeks, in a small wooden hide on the Russian Border in Finland. "With the sun never completely setting, I was awake through the night in an effort to spot one of Europe's most elusive mammals: the European brown bear.

After more than two decades of civil war, the kingdom is one of the most landmine-affected countries in the world.

Now they hope to sniff away their past thanks to rodents that are able to detect the buried threats.

Photojournalist Claudio Montesano Casillas visited the affected area this month (April) to capture the so-called Hero Rats in action.
