The world’s longest infinity pool has been announced — stretching 450 meters long and situated elevated 36 meters above the sea.

It will be the crowning glory of a spectacular bridge crafted from brass and bronze - as the stand out feature of another new development for Saudi Arabia’s multi-billion dollar NEOM tourism development.

NEOM is the plan to make the North West of the country a hub for wealthy tourists and visitors taking advantage of the region's spectacular scenery along the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea.

The new resort is called Treyam and is aimed at offering guests what is described as “an elevated haven” in which to unwind, re-energise and enjoy majestic natural surroundings.

Treyam is located across the opening of one of the lagoons at the southern end of the Gulf of Aqaba.

The striking bridge hosting a 250-room luxury resort will connect the northern and southern lagoon shores.

It will offer panoramic views of the tidal lagoon below and the sea beyond.

The innovative façade of the bridge will be constructed using brass and bronze to create a sunset-like illusion from a distance.

Topping the bridge is the rooftop infinity pool.
