Peinlich - Die Stadt Birmingham enthüllt eine Usain Bolt Figur, die die berühmte Pose seitenverkehrt zeigt
/ 270612
*** [Birmingham City Council were left red faced yesterday after they unveiled a floral tribute to Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt striking his iconic victory pose, but facing in the wrong direction. Refer to NTI story NTIBOLT. The 100 metre world record holder always strikes the same pose after winning a race. Bolt's "To Di World" pose, in which he leans back, his right arm cocked and the left extended skyward, has become synonymous with the sprinter. But Birmingham City Council have faced the full size wicker figure in the wrong direction, with his right arm pointing towards the sky. The blunder is particularly embarassing as the Jamaican track and field teams training camp is based in Birmingham ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.] *** (FOTO: DUKAS/ACTIONPRESS)

Well-healed Anthony Band, 23, has spent the last month running 30 miles a day to travel the full length of the country with no socks or trainers. He has endured wind, rain, rough terrain on the Help for Heroes fundraiser - and admits his feet have at times been ''agony'' since setting off from Scotland on July 31. The personal trainer - who is an asthma sufferer - admits he has had to bathe his feet in cream every day to prevent them becoming chapped, swollen and cut to ribbons after the incredible feat. Speaking after crossing the finishing line on Sunday Anthony, of Horley, Surrey, said: ''I'm more than ready to put my foot up and have a relaxing foot massage.''People think I'm a lunatic and at times it's been tough going but it's been an incredible journey.] (FOTO: DUKAS/ACTIONPRESS)
