Adorable Tiger Family Beat The Heat
These heartmeltingly adorable photos show the rare sight of a Bengal tiger mother and her cubs in the wild.

Professional wildlife photographer Andy Rouse snapped the happy family as they attempted to keep cool on a hot day in Ranthambhore, India.

With temperatures soaring to 44C, in an effort to beat the heat the female tiger, called Noor, and her 3-month-old cubs took a cooling dip in a stream.

As the family frolicked together Andy captured their antics on camera as Noor carefully lifted each of her cubs up and placed them in the water.

It was then time for a snuggle and a quick lick before the rambunctious cubs decided to indulge in some fun and games.

There are only an estimated 1,700-2,000 Bengal tigers left in the wild and over the past century their numbers have fallen dramatically.

The species is classified as endangered with habitat losses and poaching the two largest threats to their survival.

It's not all ferocious fighting and clawing your way to the top of the food chain in the animal kingdom - even the wildest of beasts need to take a break sometimes.

Wildlife photographer Andy Rouse may have captured some exciting images in his time but this cute collection of dozing creatures is guaranteed to raise a smile.

Andy snapped these sleepy animals on some of his many nature expeditions around the world - capturing drowsy moments in Africa, Alaska, Antarctica, Falkland Islands, Canada, India, America and the UK.

The result is a heart-melting menagerie of bears on their backs, cheetahs curling up for a doze, gorillas taking five, penguins pausing for a rest, snoozing seals, tired tigers, and lions (FOTO:DUKAS/REX)
