FEATURE - Alles muss raus: Ausgewähltes Mobiliar von Rod Stewart soll versteigert werden
Just some of the items Rod Stewart has put up for sale. See National story NNrod; Sir Rod Stewart has put a stuffed FOX up for auction. The bizarre item features among a series of clocks and a hoard of outlandish furniture the singing superstar has put up for sale following a clear-out. Sir Rod, 74, has put a total of 20 items up for sale, with a total reserved price tag of £37,000. The Anglo Scottish singer, believed to be worth around £180 million, had a clear out after selling his Epping home last year. Stansted-based Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers sold some of Sir Rod's furnishings at the time of the move. The auction house has now been tasked with a second wave of clearance from Sir Rod and his wife Penny's new home near Harlow in Essex. The stuffed and mounted fox, in a glass case, is estimated to fetch between £200 and £300 when it goes under the hammer next month. A stuffed gannet is estimated to go for between £250 and £350. But topping the price list of Sir Rod's cast-offs is a marble-topped gilt wood hall table with a tag of £4,000 to £6,000. Also due to go under the hammer is a garish striped armchair thought to be worth as much as £1,500. While it seems like he's trying to get shot of his small collection of birds, Sir Rod still maintains his tennis court sized model railway set - kept at his Los Angeles home.John Black, of Sworders, said: "Last year at about this time he sold some other items with us because he was selling his house in Essex. *** Local Caption *** 30111443
