Japanese car maker Honda has unveiled two futuristic looking prototype models to be sold around the world from 2026.
The electric-powered models that go on sale will look the same as the vehicles, called the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV.
They will also be equipped with a Honda-specific software operating system called ASIMO in honour of a robot produced b y the company back in the year 2000.
The system will be deployed in all the company’s other electric models as well.
The Honda 0 Saloon prototype has the exact styling design of the concept model featuring low height and sporty styling to sets irt apart from other EVs.
The company claims interior space that is more spacious than people would expect based on the exterior dimensions.
It will be based on the newly developed EV architecture and will feature a number of next-generation technologies.
This includes what Honda describes as “highly reliable” automated driving technology as well as “ultra-personal optimisation” that will offer a mobility experience customised for each individual user, which will become possible with the ASIMO OS.
The production model of the Honda 0 Saloon is scheduled to be introduced first in the North American market in 2026, then in global markets, including Japan and Europe.
The Honda 0 SUV is based on a concept model called Space-Hub unveiled in 2024.
