RETRO - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
The Queen dressed in her uniform as Colonel-in-Chief of the Coldstream Guards and riding side-saddle , turns round to smile at her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh , when she inspected the guards duriing the ceremony of the Trooping the Colour on Horse Guards Parade on 10th June 1954 .
The picture was taken by Herbert Ludford and won first prize in the Royal Class of the Annual British Press Pictures of the Year .
