A former Formula race car designer has revealed his personal take n future travel – with a tiny autonomous car due to start trials soon.Professor Gordon Murray , former technical director for Brabham and McLaren has created a bubble car called the Motiv.Gordon Murray the world for F1 to start his own design company in 2005.He has previously helped with development of projects for clients.The new all-electric, self-driving, single-seater for personal mobility, ride-hailing and commercial delivery applications.The Motiv is designed to be a practical city runabout where most journeys are made with a single occupant..The rear-wheel-drive single-person pod will go from standstill to 62 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a top speed of 65 km/h.The Motiv is only 254 cm long and 131 cm wide, making parking itself in tightly-packed urban streets a little easier.It stands 162.6 cm high and weighs just under 450 kg thanks to an aluminium chassis and suspension and composite panels and door. It features a single gull-wing door with contactless entry.
