An aircraft manufacturer has revealed a flying taxi which could be ready for testing as soon as 2020.US company Bell Helicopter showed the configuration and full-scale vertical-takeoff-and-landing air taxi named Bell Nexus.It is a vertical take-off and anding aircraft powered by a hybrid-electric propulsion system with a 240 kilometre / 150-mile range that uses a single turbine engine to generate electricity for the six-fan rotor design.and features Bell’s signature powered lift concept incorporating six tilting ducted fans that are designed to safely and efficiently redefine air travel.Bell was one of the first aircraft manufacturers to team up with taxi company Uber in 2017, when the ride-hailing business first announced its ambitious plan to create a network of city-based flying taxis.A Bell spokesman said:” Nexus means the nexus of transport and technology and of comfort and convenience. “Nexus captures the long-sought-after vision of quick air travel with a unique in-flight experience, keeping passengers connected to their lives and saving valuable time.”
