The first full trailer for the eagerly awaited Superman superhero movie reboot.
Relatively unknown actor David Corenswet , 31, dons the red cape for the reboot as the Man of Steel in the reboot.
He takes over from Englishman Henry Cavill, 41 who starred in three films as the comic book hero from the planet Krypton.
Rachel Brosnahan, 34, best known for her role in Amazon Prime comedy drama The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, plays newspaper reporter Lois Lane from The Daily Planet where Superman works undercover as alter ego Clark Kent.
Another surprise is a reprise of the Superman theme music from the late 70s and early Eighties films that starred the late Christopher Reeve although played in a more modern, muted style.
The villain in the new film is Lex Luthor played by Brit Nicholas Hoult best known for his role as child opposite Hugh Grant in 2002 film About A Boy.
There is also a look at Superman’s dog Krypto.
The film is written and directed by James Gunn who directed the three Guardians of the Galaxy hit movies.
