Plans for an express freight system using air cargo containers which can zip around at the speed of an airliner have been unveiled.
The system uses the revolutionary hyperloop system currently under development by a number of companies around the world.
It involves a floating pod which races along inside giant low-pressure vacuum tubes across land, either above or below ground.
The goal is efficient, eco-friendly transport for freight and passengers.
US and France-based Hyperloop Transportation Technologies , which is one of the leading pioneers of the technology, has announced what it calls its Express Freight system.
It  uses a fully automated combination of vacuum tubes, levitating capsules, conveyer belts and electric doors to simultaneously load and unload freight.
HyperloopTT says the system promises to be faster, more cost-effective and more sustainable than air or truck shipping.
Toulouse-based HyperloopTT worked with UK design firm Tangerine to develop the freight transport system.

OPS: Render showing a cutaway of a HyplerloopTT Express Freight terminal.Freight arrives in air cargo sized containers at a loading point and are then loaded onto waiting hyperloop carriages using a conveyor system. As they arr loaded, cotainers are unloaded at the same time on the opposite side. The system is staggered. As one container is loaded, it takes the place of one that has been unloaded.

A dentist has amassed the world’s largest collection — of toothpaste tubes.

Val Kolpakov ,57, from Georgia, USA, has 2,037 different tubes from all over the world, including items from Japan, Korea, China, India and Russia.

And it has earned him recognition from Guinness World Records.

He began the collection in 2001 to learn more about all available toothpastes on the market for his job.

But he said he soon discovered it could be a very interesting hobby and tried to collect some old toothpastes and tubes from other countries.

He estimates the value of his collection to be over $30,000 USD / €28.000 euros.

Part of it is on display at his dental practice which has been turned into a mini museum showing off some of the collection on shelves and in cabinets.

The remainder is stored at his home.

The world’s first puffer jacket specifically designed to keep a wearer cool in tropical heat, has been developed - powered by a cold beer.

The winter statement jacket can be worn in any climate as it will also keep someone warm in winter.

More remarkable, the bright orange coloured puffer has a first-of-its-kind beer-powered cooling system, fuelled by ice-cold Singapore beer Tiger.

The innovative cooling system uses a cold beer which is placed in a sealable pocket to keep it cold.

It then chills water which is pumped around the wearer’s body via a network of tubes.

These tubes make contact with key points where human arteries are closest to the skin, cooling the body down by up to 5° Celsius in the sun.

A spokesperson said: “Now, anyone and everyone can feel and look cool regardless of their location! “
