(01/05/16) --- NASA astronaut Scott Kelly took a photo of Houston and the Gulf Coast as the International Space Station flew overhead.
Astronaut Scott Kelly's best pictures from year in space - 2016

As the two year-long inhabitants of the International Space Station touch back down to Earth near the town of Zhezkazgan, Kazakhstan on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 (Kazakh time), we select the best images snapped from space by Commander Scott Kelly of NASA.

The Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft returned with Expedition 46 Commander Kelly of NASA and Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and Sergey Volkov. Kelly and Kornienko completed an International Space Station record year-long mission to collect valuable data on the effect of long duration weightlessness on the human body that will be used to formulate a human mission to Mars.

The downdraft almost blows spectators off their feet, as the giant airliners pass low overhead, HEADS UP!

Tourists are flocking to a beach directly under the flight path of jumbo jets to feel the impressive force of their jet stream as they pass just 20 metres over head. The Boeing 747s blow sand into the faces of avid plane spotters who gather at cafes near Princess Juliana International Airport on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin. They sit waiting for the planes to approach before dashing to the road and beach to feel the 300-tonne aircrafts blast past at about 150 miles per hour. Many tourists duck as they realise just how close the deafening planes are passing above them. PLANE STUPID!

Tourists are flocking to a beach directly under the flight path of jumbos to feel the impressive force of their jet stream as they pass just 20 yards overhead.

The Boeing 747s fly so low they blow sand into the faces of avid plane spotters who gather at cafes and sit waiting for the planes.

When an aircraft approaches they dash to the beach to feel the 300-ton aircraft blast past at over 150 miles per hour.

Many tourists duck as they realise just how close the deafening planes are passing above them.

Planes - like the KLM jet pictured - are forced to pass just 20 yards above the beach as they come into land on the shortest runway in the world that 747s regularly use.

They have to approach low to land as soon as possible and use the full length of the 1.3 mile runway at Princess Juliana International Airport on the Caribbean island of Saint ...

n exoskeleton aimed at making overhead work like decorating and building less of a strain on the body is on the market.

And its has been made by a power tool company.

German manufacturer Festool says its rechargeable ExoActive makes light work of strenuous tasks that require arms to be extended upwards for long periods.

That could be on walls and ceilings for plastering, dry mortarless construction, painting, wallpapering or installation.

It provides each underarm with an added boost of up to 50 N – equal to approximately 5 kg.

According to Festool, ExoActive reduces the load on the front of the shoulder muscles by up to 30%.

This means that work should feel up to one third easier.

The extrapolated power not only eases fatigue in the arms.

The Aurora overhead as people watch on at Kerið (occasionally Anglicized as Kerith or Kerid) is a volcanic crater lake located in the Grímsnes area in south Iceland, along the Golden Circle. It is one of several crater lakes in the area, known as Iceland's Western Volcanic Zone, which includes the Reykjanes peninsula and the Langjökull Glacier, created as the land moved over a localized hotspot, but it is the one that has the most visually recognizable caldera still intact.
    Seasonal weather, Iceland - 19 Nov 2018
The caldera, like the other volcanic rock in the area, is composed of a red (rather than black) volcanic rock. The caldera itself is approximately 55 m (180 ft) deep, 170 m (560 ft) wide, and 270 m (890 ft) across. Kerið's caldera is one of the three most recognizable volcanic craters because at approximately 3,000 years old, it is only half the age of most of the surrounding volcanic features. The other two are Seyðishólar and Kerhóll.
While most of the crater is steep-walled with little vegetation, one wall is sloped more gently and blanketed with a deep moss, and can be descended fairly easily. The lake itself is fairly shallow (7-14 metres, depending on rainfall and other factors), but due to minerals from the soil, is an opaque and strikingly vivid aquamarine.
