Joanna and her husband went on long walks during lockdown. PA REAL LIFE *** Woman loses two stone by cooking up healthy fakeaways recreating everything from
KFC to fish and chips while furloughed at home
By Susan Clark, PA Real Life
A takeaway fan who was furloughed during the pandemic told how she focused on getting
fit - combining exercise with cooking up healthy "fakeaway" dishes and losing nearly two
    stone.
When Joanna Blackwell, 31, was furloughed from March to August 2020 and eventually
made redundant from her job delivering spectacles to the elderly and housebound,
instead of panicking, she put her lifestyle under the spotlight.
Stuck at home in Noak Bridge, near Basildon, Essex, with husband Jay, 33, who, as a
self-employed tattoo artist could not work because of Covid-19 restrictions, and their
Chihuahua dogs - brothers Bear and Pedro, three - she was determined to get healthy.
Soon Joanna, who at 5ft 8in entered the first lockdown weighing 15st - giving her a body
mass index (BMI) used to gauge a healthy weight, of 31.8 compared to the NHS healthy
range of 18.5 to 24.9, classing her as obese - was cooking up low fat versions of
everything from KFC to balti curries.
Posting pictures of her mouthwatering dishes on Instagram, where she has 9,200
followers, she created a storm - also slimming down to 13st 4lb and swapping her size 18
dresses for a 12/14, while Jay also lost a stone.
She said: It has been really tough, but when lockdown started, I saw it as a chance to get
    the healthiest I can be.
I like to cook from scratch, but when I was working, Id come home tired after a long day,
so wed often just have a takeaway.
I like food that is made from fresh ingredients but also tastes nice, so with the fakeaways
I make, they may not be the healthiest, and you may feel youre being a bit naughty, but
they are very tasty and definitely much healthier than a takeaway would be.

Robert Pinto verspeist das "Kidz Breakfast" im Jesters Diner
Robert Pintohaving finished the Breakfast challenge at Hungry Hossee in Corby - completed on October 13 2011
    / 060212

[The first diner to conquer a fry-up so big medics warned it could kill you is a big breakfast specialist, it emerged yesterday (Tues). Robert Pinto, 38, has become the first man to finish the enormous 'Kidz Breakfast' after completing the challenge on Monday morning. The big breakfast muncher defied the odds by devouring the fry-up - which weighs more than a small child - in a staggering 26 minutes. The "dangerous" meal, which comes with a health warning from Doctors, weighs 9lb (4.08 kg) - bigger than the average newborn baby which weighs just 7lb 5oz. It contains 12 rashers of bacon, 12 sausages, six eggs, comes on a 2.5 sq ft (0.23 sq m) plate and contains over 6,000 calories. But Robert who is 6ft 1ins tall and weighs just 11st 8lbs stunned Martin Smith the owner of Jesters Diner, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, by eating the meal in less than 30 mins. Yesterday the clothes shop owner of Stamford, Lincs., revealed he has spent the last year travelling the country conquering giant meals.] (FOTO: DUKAS/ACTIONPRESS)
