An Apple computer company cheque issued from the firm’s first ever cheque book, has sold for $108,209 USD / €100.360 euros at auction — more than twice its estimate.

The cheque was signed by founder Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak and issued in 1976 from a temporary cheque from a recently opened bank account.

It was for payment to a printed circuit board company and made just days before the two founders officially made their partnership agreement.
The item was marked as cheque "No. 2," just as the first ever company computer, the Apple-1, came into existence
It was made out for $116.97 to Ramlor, Inc.—a Palo Alto-area printed circuit board maker—likely represents payment for boards affiliated with the first Apple-1 Computers.
The Wells Fargo bank cheque is dated March 19, 1976.
At the time Apple was still operating out of the Jobs family garage. ??The official founding of Apple Computer, Inc. happened on April 1, 1976, 13 days after the cheque was written.

OPS: At the same auction, an Apple-1 computer signed by Steve Wozniak sold for $178,816 USD / €165.850 euros.
The still fully operational computer was complete in a handmade period case with built-in keyboard
Wozniak’s signature, "Woz," shown here, signed in 2017.

A guitar, smashed and left unplayable by Nirvana grunge rock icon Kurt Cobain during the band’s heyday has sold for more than half a million dollars.

The badly broken black Fender Stratocaster had been expected to achieve no more than $60,000 USD / €55.434 euros at a US auction.

But collectors and fans of the band sent the price soaring to $595,000 USD/ €549.720 euros.

The instrument, unplayable in its current state, bears the signatures of Cobain and fellow band members bass player Krist Novoselic, and drummer Dave Grohl in silver marker .

The guitar was given by Cobain to close friend and musical collaborator, Mark Lanegan of fellow US grunge band Screaming Trees.

Cobain wrote on the guitar: "Hell-o Mark! Love, Your Pal, Kurdt Kobain / Washed up rockstar.”

It also bears the inscription “Boddah Lives” engraved to the neck plate which refers to Cobain's childhood imaginary friend.

The left handed made in Japan guitar was sold with a black hard case with "Abort Christ" written on the top in white block letters and included a white guitar strap

The rosewood fingerboard with clay dots is broken off from the 5th fret to what would have been the 4th tuner.
?The pickups and electronics work .

It was sold during a music icons auction by specialist saleroom Julien’s Auctions at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York on May 20.
