Bush returns from South Carolina trip
July 24, 2007, Washington, DC, USA: President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush arrive at the White House following their trip to Charleston Air Force Base. Bush traveled to Charleston to issue a plea for more time in Iraq after a troop surge earlier in the year failed to quell escalating violence there.
