An e-scooter that mimics the livery of the McLaren Eighties F1 car driven by GrandPrix legends Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna has gone on sale.

The machine is the fifth collaboration between McLaren and British-based high end e-scooter maker Pure Electric.

Dubbed the MP4/4, the minimalist vehicle mimics McLaren’s 1988 Formula 1 car design.

It was used that season by eventual champion, Brazilian Senna with Frenchman Prost coming second in the final standings by just three points.

Clad in colour-blocked red and white of the famous car, the slim two-wheeler boasts dual-sided panels for a comfortable stance with self-stabilising handlebars for increased control.

Pure and McLaren’s MP4/4 device features an upgraded 710w motor with a 31-mile range on a single charge.

The compact scooter is foldable for easy storage and carrying.

A Pure spokesperson said: “Recognised as one of McLaren’s most successful F1 cars, the MP4/4 e-scooter combines state-of-the-art technology with a speedy on-road feel. “

The machine is available for sale on Pure’s website for £999 GBP / €1.160 euros.
