The Ukulele Orchestra is a group of all-singing, all-strumming Ukulele players who use instruments bought with loose change; the group believes that all genres of music are available for reinterpretation - as long as they¿re played on the Ukulele. A concert by the Ukulele Orchestra is a funny, twanging, foot-stomping obituary of rock-n-roll and melodious light entertainment, featuring only a "bonsai guitar" and a menagerie of voices - there are no drums, no pianos, no backing tracks, and no banjos. Visitors to the inaugural Innocent Village Fete in Regents Park were able to appreciate the Ukulele Orchestra in all their glory as they were one of the acts providing entertainment.
