The 11 boys and 11 girls got up early and climbed to the top of the Gothic cathedral to practise for their Christmas performances.The youngsters, who are all members of King's Ely and aged between 7 and 16, rehearse four mornings a week before school and sing Evensong daily during term time.This year one of the Christmas highlights for the boys' choir will be their sell-out carol concert Hark! The Herald on December 21.A spokeswoman for Ely Cathedral said today (Tues): "This is their really busy time of year, with lots of extra rehearsals. They will be performing a number of concerts and services over the next three weeks, including Christmas Day."
